1. INDIA GATE
It was originally called the All India War Memorial. the gate was built in memory of the 90,000 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World War I. The monument stands to a height of 42 meters. INDIA in bold letters is encrypted on either ends of the monument.
2. RED FORT
The Fort derives its name from the huge walls of red sandstone that characterize the eight sides of the fort. The length of the wall is 2.5km and is 33m high. It was the residence of the Mughal emperor of India for nearly around 200 years.
3. JAMA MASJID
It was built between 1644 and 1658 during the reign of Shah Jahan and is the largest mosque in India. There is a cupboard near the north gate of the Jama Masjid. It contains a collection of prophet Muhammad's relics - a red beard-hair of the prophet, Korans written on deerskin, his footprint and his sandals.
4. GARDEN OF FIVE SENSES
It was Inaugurated in 2003. This garden is spread over an area of 20 acres. The garden is sectioned into different areas. The key attractions of the Garden of Five senses are-
. Khas Bagh (the spiral walkway).
. Gorgeous shrubs of flowers planted beautifully around the Colour Gardens.

5. CHANDNI CHOWK
It is the perfect place to shop and is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi. it was Built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and the place is rumoured to be designed by his daughter Jahan Ara.
6. BAHAI (LOTUS) TEMPLE
Baha'ism traces its genesis to its prophet Baha'u'llah, born in Persia in the twentieth century. The temple is somewhat similar in structure to the Sydney Opera House. A visit to Delhi is not complete without seeing this place.
7. HUMAYUN'S TOMB
It was added to Unesco's World Heritage List in 1993. The tomb of Humayun was built by the orders of Bega Begum, Humayun's first wife and chief consort and the construction began in 1565, nine years after his death and was completed in 1572 AD, at a cost of around 1.5 million rupees at the time.
8. LODI GARDENS
It is Spread over an area of around 90 acres. it contains Mohammed Shah's Tomb, Sikander Lodi's Tomb, Sheesh Gumbad and Bara Gumbad. The site is now protected by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI)
9. QUTUB MINAR
The unique architectural structure of this monument attracts many visitors from all over the world. The construction work of Qutab Minar began in the 12th century and it was completed in the 13th century. It is made of red sandstone and marble. The stairs of the tower has 379 steps, is 72.5 metres high, and has a base diameter of 14.3 metres, which narrows to 2.7 metres at the top
10. GANDHI SMRITI
It is a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and was formerly known as Birla House or Birla Bhavan. It is here, where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life and was assassinated on January 30, 1948.
