It is located on the Mandovi River on Goa's border with Karnataka state. It is around 60 km from Panaji city by road and around 46 km from Madgaon railway junction by train and around 60 km from Belgaum by train and around 55 km from Belgaum by road. 5. CARNIVAL IN GOA
Goa Carnival is the most famous festival in Goa and has been celebrated since the 18th century. The origins of carnival can be traced to the ancient Rome and Greece. 9. MADEI WILDDLIFE SANCTUARY
The Madei Wildlife Sanctuary is a 208.5-km² protected area in the Western Ghats. It is located in the North Goa District, Sattari taluka near the town of Valpoi.
10. GOA STATE MUSEUM
The State Museum is located in Panjim, which is the capital city of Goa. This museum complex is located in the EDC Complex in Patto and it was inaugurated by the then President of India on June 18th, 1996.
